Description
In ‘Creating a Curious Baby Room’, we’ll explore how babies’ natural curiosity and instinct to play with objects and materials enables them to discover how the world around them works. You will understand how to support babies’ curiosity through planning, the design of the environment and your in-the-moment interactions as babies explore. You will leave with a set of strategies you can use and share with your team in the baby room about how to nurture babies’ curiosity every single day.
We will focus on:
- What babies aged 0–2 are curious about and the discoveries they are interested in making
- How to support babies’ curiosity through the design of the environment
- How to support babies’ curiosity through baby-led planning
- How to engage with and extend babies’ exploration of objects and materials
What you’ll get:
- Deeper knowledge and understanding of babies’ curiosity, exploration and discovery
- Opportunities to learn from other baby room educators and leaders
- A slide deck that you can use to cascade learning with your team
- A digital certificate of attendance and participation
