Description
In ‘Low prep/high impact’ we’ll explore why it’s important to opt for low-maintenance preparation in the baby room, as it makes how art can be a magical part of our practice with babies. Taking a process-over-product approach, we’ll look at arts-based provocations and activities that you can introduce into the baby room. Along with sharing lots of examples, you’ll have the chance to come up with your own ideas for age-appropriate art activities to share with babies.
We will focus on:
- Babies as artists
- What kinds of art fit babies’ interests and what should we avoid
- Taking a process-over-product approach
- Examples of arts provocations and activities for babies
- Making learning visible when we do art with babies
What you’ll get:
- Confidence and inspiration to make art with babies
- Opportunities to learn from other baby room educators and leaders
- A slide deck that you can use to cascade learning with your team
- A digital certificate of attendance and participation
